Did you know: Jan.-Sept. tourist arrivals

There were around 3.5 million tourists in the Philippines from January to September this year, or about 11.4 percent higher than the 3.1 million posted last year for the same period, according to the Department of Tourism. Of the total, more than 900,000 were visitors were from South Korea, the country that holds the largest share of international tourist traffic in the country.—Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
