Police applicant nabbed for drugs

A28-year-old man who once tried to join the police force was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Pasil, Cebu City.

Dennis Evalle, 28, will be charged with possession and selling of illegal drugs after he sold a pack of suspected shabu for P300 to a poseur-buyer, said the police.

When he was frisked, nine sachets believed to contain shabu were recovered from his possesion.

Evalle, a criminology graduate, applied for the Philippine National Police (PNP) but was not accepted after a background investigation was made, said  Chief Insp. Romeo Santander, intelligence chief of the Cebu City Police Office.

Santander said the routine check uncovered  Evalle’s alleged involvement in the drug trade.

Police continued to receive reports from Evalle’s neighbors that Evalle was selling illegal drugs until a buy-bust operation was made last Monday night.
Evalle refused to comment on his arrest.

In Mandaue City, another man was  arrested in a buy-bust operation.

Diolito Commendador,  45, a native of  Sogod town residing in Mandaue, was arrested after he allegedly sold two sachets of suspected shabu for P400 to a policeman who acted as buyer.

Comendador denied he   was selling of illegal drugs.
