CEBUANO guard Brian Heruela once again delivered the goods as he notched another double-double to lead the Big Chill Superchargers to an 89-75 win over the Cagayan Valley Rising Suns yesterday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Heruela, a Fil-American point guard who made a name for himself while playing alongside Petron’s June Mar Fajardo over at the University of Cebu, is slowly pushing his name into the national spotlight and burnished his reputation some more with 13 points and 10 assists against the Suns. He currently is leading the league in both assists and steals.
Jeckster Apinan paced Big Chill with 15, former pro Riel Cervantes added 13 while Perpetual Help’s super rookie Juneric Baloria chipped in 11 as the Superchargers took control of the game from the onset and weathered several comeback attempts by Cagayan Valley to win for the eighth time in nine contests.
