THE newly formed Four Central Squares Chess Association is expected to end the year with a bang as it stages its last chess tournament for 2013 on Dec. 28-29 at the Robinson’s Cybergate Mall, Cebu city.

The National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP)-rated tournament is expected to draw Cebu’s top wood pushers who will vie in the Open and Kiddies divisions with around P22,000 in cash prizes to be given away.

The tournament will adopt the seven-round Swiss system format following FIDE rules. Kiddies division registration fee is pegged at P150 and P200 for the Open category.
