PCL sports festival set
THE CEBU Provincial Federation of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) will hold its annual sports festival starting this Friday at the Mandaue City Cultural and Sports Complex.
The event is held in line with the celebration of the PCL month, which brings the theme “Karunungan, kalikasan at kalusugan sulong sa tuwid na landas ng lokal na Pamamahalaan.”
During Monday night’s official launching of the PCL-Cebu’s activities, the board of directors, spearheaded by Carmen Remedios Durano-Meca, announced they are preparing two major programs to be held within the PCL month.
The first is the Quasi-Judicial Functions of Sanggunian seminar to be headed by lawyer Danilo Almendras at the Diamond Suites Hotel.
The other is the annual sportsfest that aims to promote a healthy lifestyle among the group.
The sports festival will have three sporting events—basketball (in different venues), bowling (SM-Cebu bowling center) and volleyball. /Correspondent Dale Rosal
