Fire hits thickly populated area in Cebu City village

CEBU CITY-A fire hit a thickly populated area in Barangay (village) Carreta here Tuesday afternoon.

The fire alarm was received by the Cebu City fire department at around 3:20 p.m.

The fire has destroyed more than 10 houses in Sitio (sub-village) Laray, which is located across the Bureau of Quarantine and at the back of the Department of Social Welfare and Development regional office along the Gen. Maxilom Ave.

The fire has been raised to Task Force Alpha, which meant that all fire trucks in neighboring cities are required to respond.
