MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court on Tuesday denied the request of former Iloilo Representative Augusto Syjuco Jr. to cite Senator Franklin Drilon for contempt.

High Court’s Spokesman Theodore Te confirmed that Syjuco’s petition has been denied as well as his request to speak at the Disbursement Allegation Program oral argument.

“Syjuco’s request to speak at DAP oral argument denied; Syjuco petition to cite Drilon in contempt denied,” Te said in a text message.

Syjuco wants SC to cite Drilon in contempt for convincing his colleagues to re-align the chamber’s priority development fund (PDAF) for calamity response despite the temporary restraining order issued by the high court stopping the release of pork barrel for the rest of the year.
