2nd Strike Open Chess tourney set Dec. 14 to 15

THE NEWLY FORMED Four Central Squares chess group will be staging a chess tournament billed the 2nd Strike Open Chess Tournament this Dec. 14 and 15 at the Robinson’s Cybergate.

The tournament, which will offer kiddies 14-below and open competitions, will be rated by the  National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP). It will use a seven-round Swiss system format with a game-point scoring system.

Registration fee is pegged at P150 (kiddies) and P200 (open).

The open division champion will receive P4,000 while P3,000 will go to the kiddies division winner. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
