City Hall sportsfest starts
EMPLOYEES of the Cebu City Government will take a break from their daily grind of work when they compete against each other in the Cebu City Sportsfest 2013 starting today at the Cebu City Sports Center.
Around 2,000 Cebu City Hall employees divided into six (6) groups will join the annual Cebu City Hall Inter-Department Sportsfest, which will carry a theme, “Facing together the challenges thru wellness for better Public Service.”
The event will be ushered in with the celebration of the Holy Mass at 6:30 a.m. at the Plaza Sugbo Grounds followed by a parade going into the CCSC.
The event, whose budget has been slashed to help raise donations for the rehabilitation of areas hit by supertyphoon Yolanda, is aimed towards developing “sportsmanship and camaraderie among the city government employees.” /Correspondent JADE S. VIOLETA
