JUNIOR bowler Andrew Yap and veteran kegler William Lao were named bowlers of the month for November and December respectively, after placing first and second in last weekend’s Bowlingplex Tenpin Association (BTA)-PRIMA Monthly Tournament held at the Gaisano Bowlingplex in Banilad.
Yap downed 1,295 pins in the six-game finals while Lao, the father of Cebuana bowling sensation Kimberly Lao, finished second with 1,270 pinfalls.
Clarence Tiu finished third (1,268) while outgoing BTA President Dr. Bede Llano came in fourth (1,244).
Yap averaged 205.8 pinfalls in the six-game series and sizzled in his opening two rounds with 223 and 241 pinfalls. Lao meanwhile, averaged 191.7 pinfalls.
Rounding out the top 10 were junior bowler Aui Padawan (1,207); Razel Silva (1,199); Roland Bantilan (1,189); Heber Alqueza (1,184); Don Erot (1,181) and Alex Lagcao (1,180). /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
