MANILA, Philippines—Light to moderate rains and thunderstorms are forecast in Bicol and typhoon-battered Eastern Visayas due to the tail-end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said Friday.

“Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

It was nearly a month ago when Supertyphoon “Yolanda” (international name: “Haiyan”), the strongest storm to make landfall, pummeled Eastern Visayas.

The regions of Cagayan Valley, Cordillera and Ilocos will have cloudy skies with light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
