THE 16TH Aboitiz Football Cup will finally roll up its curtains this weekend at the Aboitiz Football Field at the North Reclamation Area (NRA)in Mandaue City.
According to the Cebu Football Association (CFA) and the Aboitiz Foundation, the opening ceremony will be kept simple to empathize with the survivors of supertyphoon “Yolanda” and the Oct. 15 earthquake.
The tournament was originally scheduled last month but was moved due to the calamities.
A total of 155 teams will be competing in 15 divisions of this tournament that is expected to end April 30, 2014.
Games will be played every weekend.
