LTFRB to crack down on choosy cabbies

/ 12:03 PM December 05, 2013

SELECTIVE taxi drivers will have to deal with a Christmas crackdown campaign which the regional Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) kicks off tomorrow.

Regional LTFRB Director Ahmed Cuizon said “Oplan Bright Star” will crack down on taxi drivers who refuse passengers or choose whom to service especially during the holidays.

Even before December, Cuizon said they acted on complaints from passengers who were refused by taxi drivers. “Oplan Bright Star” will be implemented in coordination with the Land Transportation Office (LTO).
