Powerhouse squads make passerelle semis of CYBL

THE USUAL suspects made it all the way to the Passerelle semifinals of the Cebu Youth Basketball League D-League after the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC), University of San Carlos (USC) and the University of the Visayas (UV) breezed past their respective opponents in the quarterfinals last weekend at two venues, the SHS-AdC gym in Canduman, Mandaue City and the USJ-R gym in Basak, Pardo.

UV-B trounced the University of San Jose-Recoletos-B, 55-35, while SHS-AdC-C manhandled USC South-C, 61-54.

USC South-B, on the other hand, gained some redemption for their school after they beat USC North-B, 56-40. Blessed John Seminary 1 completed the Final Four after they upset, SHS-AdC-B, 65-52.

The semifinals of the Passerelle class will see BJS battling UV-B while SHS-AdC-C takes on USC South-B./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
