Korean Air delivers relief goods to PH
THE Korean Air provided relief goods worth over 106 million Korean won for those affected by typhoon Yolanda.
The Korean carrier delivered its first set of relief goods to Cebu Province on Nov. 22.
The goods, which included 60,000 liters of mineral water, 60,000 cup noodle, 24,000 cups of rice and 2,000 blankets, were turned over to various social welfare organizations for distribution to the typhoon victims.
In previous calamities like the Sichuan earthquake in 2008, the Korean Air dispatched a special flight to transport blankets and mineral water to the quake zone.
In March 2011, the carrier also donated relief goods, such as 90,000 liters of mineral water and 2,000 blankets to the victims of the earthquake in the northeast province of Japan.
