Dancesport Team Cebu City gears up for 2 int’l tilts

MEMBERS of Dancesports Team Cebu City (DTCC) are in for a busy month as they see action in two international events in Australia and Hong Kong.

With Wilbert Fajardo Aunzo and Pearl Marie Cañeda scheduled to compete in the 68th Australian DanceSport Championship at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne, Australia on Dec. 6-8, 2013, other students and teachers of DTCC will also be flying to Hong Kong for the Asian Dance Sports Council’s 21st International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) Cup at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium on Nov. 30 to Dec. 1.

Heading the Hong Kong-bound dancers are the multi-awarded pair of Crisaldo “Loloy” Rendon and DTCC director Eleonor Hayco, who will be vying in the Latin Category’s Pro-Am C and Pro-Am B.

Hayco will also compete in the Adult Latin Senior C category with Davin Unabia as partner.

Unabia, on the other hand, will vie in the Adult Standard Senior D with Engracita Zabala as partner.

The other DTCC couples competing are Romeo Jay Cialbo and Ma. Luzviminda Poitiers (Standard Teacher-Student); Marlon Segismar and Ma. Luzviminda Poitiers (Adult Latin Grade, Senior D and Senior C); Ronald Ruiz and Jocelyn Versteeg (Adult Standard, Senior D and C) and Jimmy Noel and Elizabeth Zets in the Adult Latin Senior C, Adult Standard Senior C, Teachers-Student Latin C and Standard Teacher-Student C. /Correspondent JADE S.
