The Blaze Boosters are one of the three squads with a perfect record, joining the surprising Barako Bull Energy Colas and the Barangay Ginebra Kings at the number one spot with 2-0 slates.
Petron started its campaign with a 97-87 victory over GlobalPort before chalking up a one-sided 77-63 win over the defending champions Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters.
Meanwhile, the Tropang Texters recently acquired the service of veteran forward Danny Siegle.
The 37-year-old Seigle, a former Rookie of the Year winner, became a free agent after his contract with the Barako Bull Energy Colas was not renewed.
Seigle’s transfer to Talk ‘N Text was confirmed by team manager Paolo Trillo in a report posted at interaksyon.com.
Trillo said Seigle will be given a chance to familiarize the system and won’t be seeing action when the Texters play the Alaska Aces on Thursday. /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
