Blackwater logs fourth straight win

THE REIGNING Foundation Cup champions Blackwater Sports chalked up its fourth win after dominating the Zambales M-Builders, 91-69, in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup yesterday at the Blue Eagle gym in Quezon City.

Adamson star Jericho Cruz had eight of his 10 points in the second period that anchored a 27-8 breakaway to turn a slim 17-14 lead into an insurmountable 44-22 advantage at halftime.

The victory was a crucial one for the Elite as it kept them within striking distance of the leaders with a 4-1 (win-loss) record.

University of Santo Tomas’ top wingman Kevin Ferrer paced the winners with 17 points even as Gio Ciriacruz punched in 11 markers. The Builders fell to a woeful 2-4 record.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
