/ 06:31 AM November 26, 2013

AFTER the year-round series of tournaments all across the country, action in the Palawan Pawnshop age group tennis tournament finally shifts to the National Capital Region when the 2013 President’s Cup National Age Group tennis tournament unfolds on Dec. 13-17 at the Olivarez Sports Center in Sucat, Parañaque.

The event, which is part of the year-round, nationwide circuit put up by Palawan Pawnshop COO Bobby Castro and Guillermo Nocom, president of Technosports, distributor of Babolat, is being sanctioned by the Philippine Lawn Tennis Association (Philta) under its president and Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez.

Mayor Olivarez is also sponsoring the competition, which is a Philta Group 2 tilt, with Francisco “Pet” Santos bound to serve as tournament director and Bobby Mangunay, who will be the referee in the tourney backed by Technosports, the exclusive distributor of Babolat. /Correspondent Jade S.
