Robbers broke into a money transfer shop in Quezon City on Sunday and managed to cart away more than P300,000 in cash and valuables.

Three men pretended to be customers at a Western Union branch on Corumi Street, Barangay (village) Masambong at 2 p.m. and robbed its employees at gunpoint.

Case investigator PO3 Teotimo Daguman said the establishment lost P295,226.15 in cash collections. The robbers also took P1,100 from the firm’s employees. Also taken was a closed circuit television camera’s main box player, two cell phones and ID cards.—Julie M. Aurelio
