Ancheta wins National Cetba crown

DAVAO TENPIN Bowling Association’s (DATBA) Ian Ancheta edged team International’s Makoto Osada to win this year’s master’s title of the 5th Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) National Tenpin Open yesterday at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center.

Ancheta overcame a twice to beat disadvantage over Osada in their final showdown with scores of 209 and 183 in the Finals. Ancheta brought home P50,000 and a trophy for his win.

In the team event, the all-female team of the Virgo Financing emerged on top after finishing off the 10-game series with 6,128 pinfalls. The team is composed of Inday Aguilar, Tess Regino and Vivian Padawan./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
