Cold front to bring isolated light rains in Luzon

MANILA, Philippines – Isolated light rains were forecast in Luzon due to a tail-end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said Monday.

“Metro Manila and the regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley and Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

No weather disturbance was spotted near or within the country.

In Metro Manila, hottest temperature on Sunday was at 31.8 degrees Celsius at 1p.m., while the coldest was at 23.2 degrees Celsius.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas.
