SPO1 Virginia Surban of the Kamuning police station said the girl was staying at a fifth-floor unit with her 26-year-old sister, a brother-in-law and two nieces. At 5:53 p.m., a janitor heard a loud crash on the ground floor and saw the girl unconscious on one of the tables.

Surban noted that the condo unit’s terrace, from where the girl apparently fell, had balustrades as high as an average person’s chest. Julie M. Aurelio
