MANDAUE City Hall has prepared the Barangay Banilad gymnasium as a temporary shelter for evacuees from Tacloban City who are scheduled to arrive today.
Violeta Cavada, Mandaue City Hall’s Social Welfare and Services (CSWS) chief, said the evacuees will undergo stress debriefing conducted by social workers and day care teachers. They will also be given relief goods.
One side of the gymnasium will be partitioned off with plastic sheets to prevent rain from coming in while portable toilets will be installed for evacuees.
