2 men shot, killed 30 minutes apart in QC

Two men were killed in shooting incidents 30 minutes apart on Saturday night in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Tricycle driver Roberto Jorbina, 30, was gunned down in his community in Barangay Pasong Putik following a quarrel with still unidentified men.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Roldan Cornejo said the victim was seen arguing with two men at the corner of Maligaya Drive and Quirino Highway in Maligaya Park Subdivision around 9 p.m.

One of the men later pulled out a gun and shot the victim several times.

He then fled with his cohort as the victim was taken to a hospital where doctors failed to save him.

Some 30 minutes later, Jeffrey Nepa, 22, was shot dead in his neighborhood at Dupex Compound, Barangay (village) Bagbag.

Case investigator Senior Police Officer 1 Joselito Gagaza said the young man was walking on King Alexander Street when he was shot twice by still unidentified men. He later died in the hospital.
