Aquino touches down in Guiuan
MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III has arrived in Guiuan, Eastern Samar today and is currently sitting down for a press briefing assessing the damages of super typhoon “Yolanda.”
Together with Interior and Local Government secretary Mar Roxas, Social Welfare and Development secretary Corazon “Dinky” Soliman and House Speaker Sonny Belmonte, the president touched down in the area nine days after “Yolanda” made land fall in Guiuan.
As of posting, Aquino and the other officials are listening to the power situation briefing on the assessed area.
