‘Stressed, traumatized’ Yolanda victims arrive at Villamor airbase

MANILA, Philippines – More victims of Supertyphoon “Yolanda” arrived at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City Friday, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

The report described the third batch of survivors as looking “stressed and traumatized”.

A child, who was part of the 150 evacuees from Yolanda-battered Tacloban City, was seen holding a poster of a house without a roof, trees without leaves and houses with blood.

The evacuees, who were aboard the C-130, include a month-old baby and a 70-year-old-woman who collapsed due to stress but was immediately given medical attention by the airbase staff, the report said.

Villamor airbase officials were quoted as saying that evacuees were given food, counselling, and medical attention.
