About 7 percent of children aged 6 to 17 years living in the National Capital Region are not attending formal school, according to the 2011 Annual Poverty Indicators Survey. This was the lowest proportion among regions in the country while the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao posted the highest at 16 percent.
