After undergoing two operations for congenital heart disease, Jhonrey Bonus is looking forward to being a normal 12-year-old.
Bonus underwent surgery in 2009 and 2012 due to holes in the left and right valves of his heart, according to his father, Reynaldo, a laborer.
Reynaldo said that with the operations over, his son can now live normally although he would have to take maintenance medicines and undergo regular laboratory tests to ensure that his heart is functioning well.
“I have no regular job right now. It is my wife, Jennett, who is our breadwinner, working as a house helper,” Reynaldo told the Inquirer.
The couple needs P60,000 a month for Bonus’ medicines. On Nov. 27, they need to take him back to Philippine Heart Center for X-ray, 2D Echo and ECG tests.
Those who want to find out more about Bonus’ condition can talk to Reynaldo at 0912-2377815. Donors may contribute to the boy’s medical fund by making a deposit in the Allied Bank account of Rosemarie Prado (Reynaldo’s sister) with account number 3780-03873-2.
