MANILA, Philippines – Commercial operations of four airports in typhoon-hit provinces are set to resume this Monday, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has said.
“Kalibo, Busuanga and Roxas Airports will resume normal operations tomorrow, 11 November,” the CAAP said over Twitter on Sunday.
“Tacloban Airport will be on limited operations,” it added.
CAAP said Tacloban Airport operations will be limited “from sunrise to sunset” and can only accommodate smaller planes, including that of commercial airlines.
“Only C130, turbo-prop (ATR, Q3, Q4 etc.) & below can land/takeoff there,” it said.
CAAP advised passengers to contact their airlines for more information.
Other airports in areas affected by typhoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan) like Iloilo, Dumaguete, Bacolod, Caticlan, Romblon, Masbate, Legaspi and Surigao, had earlier resumed normal operations.
