Classes in nine Cebu towns suspended next week

MANILA, Philippines—Classes in elementary and secondary levels will remain suspended next week in nine municipalities in Cebu province, the Department of Education announced on Saturday.

Schools in those areas will remain closed from Monday to Friday to give time to repair classrooms damaged by Typhoon “Yolanda” (international name: Haiyan).

Following are the municipalities where classes will remain suspended:

  1. Sogod
  2. Borbon
  3. Tabogon
  4. San Remigio
  5. Medelin
  6. Daan-bantayan
  7. Madrilejos
  8. Santa Fe
  9. Bantayan
