KIDAPAWAN CITY, Philippines—A woman and her son were killed when a tornado struck a village in Pikit, North Cotabato on Thursday afternoon.

Tahira Kalantongan, municipal disaster risk reduction management council officer of Pikit, North Cotabato, identified the fatalities as Bing Guiamalon Ocuman, a resident of Barangay Pamalian in Pikit, and her year-old Datu Puti.

A six-year-old daughter of Ocuman was injured and hospitalized.
