Walk for Mary tomorrow

The annual Walk for Mary will be held tomorrow at the Cebu Provincial Capitol.

The walk is organized by the Association of the Children of Mary Immaculate – Vincentian Marian Youth (CoM-VMY), Archdiocesan Council of Cebu for all the Marian devotees in the hope of spreading the devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary and the propagation of the Miraculous Medals.

The procession starts at 4:30 a.m. at the Capitol grounds, moving towards Fuente Rotunda, then left to General Maxilom Avenue, right turn to D. Jakosalem Street until reaching the Archbishop’s Palace for the Eucharistic celebration at 6 a.m.

Participants may bring bundles of joy to be distributed to the poor as birthday offering for Mother Mary.

“We are encouraging the participants to bring bundles of joy as their offering such that we may transpire Mama Mary’s devotion through the less fortunate individuals,” CoM-VMY president Charisse Malinao said.

“It is our offering of love and sacrifice to the Blessed Virgin Mary’s nativity,” she added.

The event is always held on the first Sunday of September.

The annual Walk for Mary started in 1985. It is held every first Sunday of September.
