With Napoles back in Laguna, it’s time to prepare for ‘Yolanda’—Purisima
MANILA, Philippines—With Janet Lim-Napoles back safe in detention in Laguna, a top Philippine National Police official said it’s time to prepare for the supertyphoon.
“Napoles back safe in Fort Sto. Domingo . . . Now, it’s time to prepare & brace for Typhoon Yolanda,” PNP chief, Director General Alan Purisima said.
In a twitter post, PNP chief, Director General Alan Purisima (@AlanLPurisima), said Napoles arrived at Fort Sto. Domingo around 5:05 p.m. after being transported to the Senate earlier in the day to face the ongoing investigation into the pork barrel scam.
Earlier in the day, several convoys, one carrying Napoles, arrived at the Senate office past 9 a.m.
Fort Sto. Domingo is roughly 50 kilometers away from Senate, Police Senior Superintendent Theodore Sindac, PNP-Public Information Office chief, earlier said.
