STA. ROSA CITY–Janet Lim Napoles was safely returned to her detention facility at the Special Action Force (SAF) training facility in Fort Sto. Domingo here Thursday, following her whole day appearance at the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on the pork barrel scam.
The same police security convoy, in two batches, that brought Napoles to the Senate Thursday morning left the Senate at 4 p.m. and arrived here after about an hour of travel.

A police source, who requested anonymity for lack of authority to speak on Napoles’ security arrangement, confirmed that she was safely returned to the detention facility.

Napoles had left the facility here for the Senate hearing at 8:55 a.m. Two convoys, each composed of at least six vehicles, left Laguna separately with a five-minute interval for the 10 a.m. hearing.

Among the vehicles in the first convoy were a marked PNP coaster and an ambulance.

Since 6 a.m. , several police and ambulance vehicles from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, Highway Patrol Group, and Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police started coming in here.

One pick-up vehicle was seen carrying a couple SAF personnel wearing full battle gear.

Security remained tight here since Napoles, said to be behind the P10 billion pork barrel scam, was detained at the SAF training facility on September 1.
