CITE to hold graduation rites

SOME 82 students will receive their diplomas on Nov. 23 during the 22nd Commencement Exercises of the Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise (CITE).

The graduating batch completed their three-year Industrial Technology program which comprised of 15 months of in-school training and 15 months of industry exposure.

Special citations on perfect attendance and exemplary behavior will be given to deserving graduates. Parents with perfect attendance in the Education for Development Seminar series will be given certificates of recognition.

In the morning, some 45 industry partners will be recognized by CITE for their partnership in the Dual Training System (DTS) program of the school.

The industry partners take in students as trainees for the in-plant component of the program. The partners also shouldered the cost of education of the students through partial scholarships.

During the ceremony, industry partners will receive their plaques of recognition and their DTS accreditation from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda).

Meanwhile, CITE hosted a consultation on enterprise-based training for 19 industry partners at the Montebello Villa Hotel last Sept. 19.

The convention facilitated the accreditation of 45 industry partners of CITE who helped in the implementation of the DTS under the enterprise-based scheme as required by Tesda.
