Man with sick wife asks for assistance

A former Manila Zoo casual employee is asking for help for his wife, Lolita, who has Stage 4 chronic kidney disease.

“I am asking for your support and compassion for my 50-year-old wife. We don’t know where to get the money for her next hemodialysis. She is already bloated because she has been unable to undergo treatment,” Manuel Dapadap said.

Dapadap worked for six years at the zoo as a maintenance staffer during the term of then Manila Mayor Lito Atienza.

He said he also used to work as a call center agent until he resigned to take care of his sick wife who started suffering from renal disease in 2010.

Dapadap said that his wife needs to undergo dialysis twice a week at Gat Andres Bonifacio Madical Center in Tondo, Manila, at P2,500 per session. The couple have two children who are still in school.
