MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 6.0 earthquake hit Sultan Kudarat Sunday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
The quake struck 195 kilometers southwest of Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat at 7:04 p.m., Philvolcs posted on its website.
It had a depth of 556 kilometers and was tectonic in origin.
Intensity III was reportedly felt in Malita, Davao del Sur and Intensity II in Davao City.
The US Geological Survey gave a slightly lower magnitude of 5.8 and a slightly shallower depth of 545.4 kilometers.
