MANILA, Philippines – A 5.1 magnitude quake shook Batanes Thursday night but no damages were recorded, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The tectonic quake, which was recorded at 9:25 p.m., was located 175 kilometers southeast of Mahatao, Batanes, Phivolcs said.
Phivolcs did not cite areas where the quake was felt.
There were no expected aftershocks from the minor temblor, Phivolcs said.
