The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) on Friday advised motorists to again expect traffic buildup on some major thoroughfares in Metro Manila as it resumes road improvement and maintenance works.
The repairs, which started October 31, is scheduled to last until 4 a.m. of November 5, Tuesday.
The affected areas are on Edsa in Pasay City, from C. Jose Street to P. Santos Street (northbound); Edsa, Quezon City, from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon, first lane from sidewalk (northbound); Edsa, Quezon City, from Santolan Flyover to Annapolis, second lane from MRT line (southbound); Edsa, Caloocan City, between G. de Jesus Street and Evangelista Street, fourth lane (northbound).
Also up for repairs are Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, from Palanza Steet to Bayani, first lane (northbound); C.P. Garcia Avenue, Quezon City, between Magiting Street and University Avenue, first lane from sidewalk going to University Avenue.
On Edsa, Mandaluyong City, the affected areas include Reliance Street to Libertad Street and Boni Avenue to Mayor Street.
On Edsa, Makati City, the repair works will be from Mckinley Forbes to Guadalupe Bridge and from Guadalupe Bridge to South Drive.
The DPWH said the repair and maintenance works have been coordinated with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority. Tina G. Santos
