2 hurt in rob try

TWO men were stabbed in a robbery attempt in barangay Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City Tuesday night.

Felix Agusto, 21, and Wilfredo Lupian, 24, were walking when they were waylaid.

Cebu Daily News is withholding the name of one of the alleged assailants for being a minor. His alleged cohort was identified as Wendel Añora, 24, police said.

Police said the assailants blocked the two victims in a narrow path. The assailants pointed a knife and a gun at the victims while declaring a holdup.

Police said the assailants started stabbing the victims when Agusto refused to hand over his silver necklace.

The assailants fled after the attack while the victims were brought by neighbors to the hospital. /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
