MANILA, Philippines — There should be a revamp at the Bureau of Customs once a new Commissioner is appointed, Zambales Representative Mitos Magsaysay told 990AM Friday.
Magsaysay issued the statement in an interview with “In Desk Corner,” saying that the bureau needed to be rid of grafters and corrupt officials and employees.
Magsaysay’s comments came a day after President Benigno Aquino III, in an interview with reporters in China, expressed dissatisfaction over outgoing Commissioner Angelito Alvarez’s performance.
Magsaysay disclosed that a replacement was being considered although she said she didn’t want to preempt the President.
For the interview, listen to 990AM.
