THE SACRED Heart School Ateneo de Cebu (SHS-AdC) got back at Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC), 6-0, to clinch the Group A title in last Sunday’s championship match of the 6th Pintaflores Football Festival in San Carlos City.
Despite its consecutive losses to DBTC this year in several tournaments including the Cesafi, SHS-AdC managed to chalk up the win, thanks to the injury-plagued lineup of DBTC.
SHS-AdC’s Berthram Musni initiated the scoring spree after he made the first goal followed by another one from Kintaro Miagi. Karlo Villamor and Kerby Bernaldez also contributed one goal each. Throy Pepito nailed two goals to seal the victory.
DBTC routed SHS-AdC in their first encounter, 5-1, but the former’s frontliners composed of Glenn Thomas Ramos, Vincent Lobitos, Angelo Ouano and Christian Paez left the team along with head coach Glen Ramos to compete in the Pilipinas Cup in Nuvali,Laguna. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
