Two wins in two days for Ramirez
Dumaguete City’s Mereeis Ramirez continued her winning ways in Cebu after she topped yesterday’s Parkmall Green Mile Anniversary Fun Run at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.
Ramirez, fresh from a 21-kilometer win in last Saturday’s Centennial Run of the Matilda Bradford Memorial Chapel, again showcased her winning form by clocking one hour, 42 minutes and 51 seconds to dominate the women’s 21k race yesterday.
She was a bit slower yesterday compared to her performance last Saturday where she finished with a time of one hour, 35 minutes and 27 seconds. But she still won the race for her second in two days.
Incidentally, Mary Jane Beboso and Cristy Tutor, who were Ramirez’s runners-up last Saturday, were again second and third placers.
Beboso finished with a time of 1:51.16 while Tutor clocked 1:54.34.
Raphael Piscos, on the other hand, joined Ramirez at the top spot of the podium in the 21k race after he crossed the finish line at the mall’s grounds in 1:15.11.
