3 wounded in Maguindanao explosion

MANILA, Philippines—Three were wounded including a village captain in an explosion in Maguindanao Thursday, a police spokesman said.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr. said the victims were identified as Esmael K’la, captain of Kakal village in Ampatuan, Maguindanao, and his relatives Norhade Kamaru and Tokan Eskak.

The explosion happened at 8:35 a.m., Cruz said.

The victims were immediately rushed to Esperanza hospital and were now in stable condition, he said.

The case was still under investigation, said Cruz.
