MANILA, Philippines–A total of 5,293 law graduates trooped to the University of Santo Tomas for the last day of the Bar examination.
Records from the Bar Confidant showed that a total number of 5,641 applications to the 2013 Bar examination were filed.
Out of the 5,641, four applications were denied, 44 were withdrawn. Of the remaining 5,593 law hopefuls, 290 law graduates did not show up on the first Sunday of the Bar exam, 6 dropped out on the second Sunday and 4 dropped out on the third Sunday.
This year’s Bar exam is chaired by Supreme Court Associate Justice Arturo Brion.
For this year’s exam, the structure was changed to 80 percent essay questions and only 20 percent are multiple choice.
The Bar examination is considered the most difficult licensure exam in the country. This year is the 112th Bar exam.
