Man stabbed by neighbor

DAVE Ilihino, 23, was only asking a neighbor to stop beating up his teenage son last Friday evening in sitio Kainsong, barangay Basak, Lapu-Lapu City.

But the neighbor, 33-year-old Ezer Abelgas, turned his ire on Ilihino instead and stabbed him with a knife. Ilihino was taken to the hospital for a wound in his arm.

Abelgas, who is currently detained at the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office detention cell, was beating up his 13-year-old son when Ilihino asked him to stop. Abelgas got mad, and the two had a heated argument. Abelgas got a bladed weapon from his house and attacked Ilihino.  /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
