Member of notorious kidnap gang nabbed in Bulacan
MANILA, Philippines—A member of a notorious kidnap for ransom group was arrested over the weekend in Bulacan, police said Thursday.
Suspect Reil Maltos alias “Yekyek”, a member of KFR group operating in Metro Manila was arrested in his hide-out in Muzon village San Jose del Monte Bulacan after a concerned citizen called the Police Anti-Crime Emergency Response hotline and gave information on the whereabouts of the suspect, said PACER chief Senior Superintendent Isagani Nerez.
Maltos carries a P250,000 reward for his arrest, said Nerez.
The KFR group was blamed for the abduction of two Filipino students of an international school in Taguig city on March 2008, the kidnapping of a Filipino-Chinese business woman on October 2009 and of a Filipino-Chinese banker on February 2009 both in Quezon city, said Nerez.
