MANILA, Philippines—An intertropical convergence zone and northeast monsoon will bring rains in parts of Luzon and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said Friday afternoon.
“Palawan and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northwest to west with slight to moderate seas, Pagasa said.
