MANILA, Philippines — The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains as the northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” continued to affect Northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said Friday.
Temperatures also started to drop due to Amihan. In Baguio, a temperature of 14 degrees Celsius was recorded on Thursday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
In Metro Manila, lowest temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius at 6 a.m. on Thursday.
Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao and Caraga will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. It is expected to continue until the weekend.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to northwest will prevail over Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the northwest to west with slight to moderate seas.
